On April 10, 2009 our youngest son, Levi turned 1 year old, yes on Good Friday, just how cool is that? Pretty cool, to me anyway! We started out the day with M&M pancakes topped with
cool whip, I know I don't usually allow my children to eat sweets like that, but, hey, you only turn 1 year old once, right? So then we went to run some errands, and met Jason for lunch at Levi's favorite
restaurant,
Cinco De Mayo, YUMMY!!!! Then we came back home and played and laughed and just had lots of fun, while I, Mommy made 80 cupcakes and a 2 layer 6 inch cake to decorate for Levi's birthday party the next day. Oh yes, and I made 2 batches of homemade
butter cream icing, one yellow and one green.....yes he had a John Deere Tractor Party.
The next day started with Levi taking an exceptionally long nap and missing
breakfast, but it was nothing
spectacular, I couldn't let them eat M&M pancakes with whipped cream 2 days in a row, what kind of Mommy would I be, yes I know a VERY COOL one. :o) Oh yes, and for all of the Mommyies out there he did get breakfast, just on the run!
So we left the house and went to the church to droop off allow of the birthday goodies, by the way half way to the church I discovered that I had forgotten
with white
chocolate cows it took me hours to make the day before, but
anywho I am glad my children like white chocolate. So we get to the church and Amelia
Grace decided she wants to
go home with her Nanny & Papaw which is fine with me and Jason we had a lot of errands to
run and one child was better than two to have to get in and out of the car numerous times. We
ended up at
McAllister's Deli for lunch which we love and then we headed to do 2 more errands and then go to the church to begin setup. Jason took
Amelia Grace to the Easter
Egg Hunt at
WCC and got back just in time to the party, while cutting
the egg hunt short, but he didn't mind. 1,500 eggs and over 100 children, I think I would have called it quits early myself. We had family and
friends,
everyone we love and who loves our children made a showing at his party and he got lots of gifts even though we told people none were needed. We are so blessed, and would like to say without our family and friends this party would not have been as wonderful as it
was, and sharing this very special time, and celebrating a very special little boy with all of you was great! Loves and Hugs to All!!!!!
