My Birthday Card

Yesterday Amelia Grace wanted to make me a birthday card (my birthday is October 1st). When J got home yesterday evening I got out all kinds of craft supplies and told them to use whatever they wanted to make my card. What follows is the beautiful card I was presented last night. It is currently in it's place of honor on the mantle above the fireplace for all to see. I am so very proud.

This is a felt flower she made from a Martha Stewart craft kit, she put it on the front of the card.

She wrote her name all by herself.

Labor Day

This year for Labor Day we took a trip to Dan Nicholas Park. We had a great time riding on the train, the carousel...not so much. That thing went way too fast, I am just glad we hadn't eaten lunch beforehand. :o) Then we went to the petting zoo, where Jason got bit by a donkey, although he didn't get hurt, he still got bit. We went through the Rowan County Wildlife exhibit and got to see a lot of neat animals that you would normally run from if you saw them in your backyard.

Big Daddy Bones

Meet "J", he is the best husband and daddy hands down. He is a strong man, who works hard for his family. He is passionate about God, his family and his friends. Most of the time he can be found spending time with Gracie and Bones. He enjoys hunting, fishing and anything outdoors. He has a voice that can bring calm in any situation, and a personality that makes you know you are safe and protected. His passionate heart, his deep love and commitment to his family never cease to amaze me. I stand in awe at the awesome husband that GOD has blessed me with, he is my best friend, the Daddy of our children, my confidant, and my biggest fan. He sees in me a better person than I would ever see in myself, he is the beat of my heart!

Sweet Momma Bones

I am a true believer in God's Perfect Grace, His Unyeilding Mercy, His Neverending Peace, and His Most Compassionate Love for His children. I am a Mommy, Wife, Homeschool Teacher, Cake Baker, Business Owner, and Child of the Most High God. I love my husband to the very depths of my heart, he is my very best friend. I love my children "high as the sky to the moon and back". My children are truly blessings sent from God in Heaven. I love God and my family and the absolute fact of knowing that they love me in spite of myself, makes me certain that I am cherished....and truly BLESSED!

Gracie

This is our daughter, AG. She goes by Sweet Pea most of the time, a name given to her by her Daddy the moment she was born. She has her Daddy's chocolate brown eyes and his daring personality. She is absolutely BEAUTIFUL, loving and helpful, and persisitent and strong willed just like her Mommy. She is a quick learner, and sometimes just too smart for her own good. She loves learning new things, her current aspirations are sewing, cursive writing and sign language. Her smile will brighten any day and most of the time when she says, "Mommy" or "Daddy" it is simply followed by the words, "I Love You". She is one beat of our heart!

Bones

This is our son, Baby L. He will always be Baby L even when he is towering over most of us at a predicted 6 ft. 5 in. tall. He has his Daddy's eyelashes and his dimple, and a smile that will simply melt your heart. He is our cuddle bunny, and loves to give hugs and kisses. He has his Mommy's independent spirit and his own way of doing things. He loves to watch Scooby Doo and he's a pirate at heart. He loves all things boy, hot wheels cars, rocks, and leaves. He is a handsome young man, who dares to wear a "mohawk" on most days, I can only pray he grows up to be the kind of man his Daddy is. He is our son, and if you know our story, you will understand when I say, "He was well worth the wait". He is the other beat of our heart!
