Thanksgiving

Well Thanksgiving has come and gone once again. It is kind of bittersweet as this holiday passes us by, but all the more exciting in the passing of this holiday is the time we get to spend with family. Our family gathered this year at the home of Jason's sister and her husband Trevor, it had been a bit since we had seen them and it was a joy to get to gather together as a family again. Trevor made 2 wonderful turkey breasts, Jamaican jerk, and bacon and herb....yummy. We had mashed potato casserole and homemade cranberry sauce, we also had yummy green beans and honey baked ham. All of the food was wonderful especially the pecan and pumpkin pie. Trevor's sister also made the best crock pot macaroni and cheese that I have ever had.
It was an odd occasion this year that I did not cook or bake anything to contribute to the Thanksgiving feast, I had oral surgery on the Tuesday before Thanksgiving and was pretty much out of it until the big day. No, I did not plan the surgery it was actually a surprise so I was very much disappointed in not getting to do any baking. But everyone did a great job and even though I wasn't supposed to I did eat alot, and not just the soft stuff. SHHHH....don't tell Dr. Gallup. In all seriousness we as a family hope you and yours had a wonderful Thanksgiving!
